FIELD COLOR PIGEON

ORIGIN: Saxony and Thuringia.

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Somewhat stocky field pigeon form, low standing; muffed or clean legged.

BREED CHARACTERISTICS

HEAD: Oval, wider at fron of head, plain headed or with a broad, thick free and upright standing shell crest.

EYES: Orange in color; eye cere small, light to red or dark according to the color variety.

BEAK: Thin, medium in length, dark to lustrous black on blues and blacks, flesh colored on reds and yellows.

NECK: Medium length, strong and full at the shoulders; throat well curved (no gullet).

BREAST: Broad and Iow, carried somewhat forward.

BACK: Broad at the shoulders, slightly sloping.

WINGS: Medium in length and well closed.

TAIL: Medium in length, closed, slightly sloping.

FEET/LEGS: Short, clean legged or medium to heavily muffed; muffed with well developed hock feathers.

FEATHERS: Thick and full, tight fitting.


COLORS: Black, blue, ree, and yellow, all with white bars or spangled.

COLOR AND MARKINGS: The black, red, and yellow shall be intense and lustrous; the blues are light and even colored. The white barred shall be small, long, and free of rust; black spangled may be with or without finch markings.
