SHAPE OF BODY (20 pts.):
Weight: Old Cocks – 10 to 12 oz.; Old Hens – 8 to 10 oz.; Young Cocks – 9 to 11 oz.; Young Hens – 7 to 9 oz.
Type: As shown by the ideal and set forth in the following standard.
Back: Flat and straight, gradually tapering to the rump.
Breast: Prominent, deep, well rounded.
Keel: Long, deep, and straight.
Body: Well balanced, strongly built, the whole from shoulders to tail having a wedge shape appearance.
Wings: In proportion to length of body, from shoulders to butts prominent and powerful, fitting closely to body, flight feathers to be carried over tail and wing coverts to fit well over rump.
Tail: Short and well closed, overlapping to give appearance of one feather, not extending over one inch beyond tip of flight feathers.
Legs: Medium length, set evenly apart, shanks and toes to be free of feathers.
HEAD, NECK, AND EYE (20 pts.):
Head: Smooth and round from wattle to back of neck.
Neck: Medium length, should taper from head to shoulder, no gullet.
Eye: Both eyes same color, no broken pupils.
Cere: Smooth and even, flesh color.
Wattle: Small to medium size, smooth in texture, free from coarseness, fit smoothly between head and beak.
Beak: Stout and strong, moderately long, flesh colored.
CONDITION (10 pts.):
Body firm and muscular, feather short, broad, hard, tight, and smooth in finish, must be clean and healthy.
SADDLE (20 pts.): Should have 10 secondaries, tertials, medium coverts, lesser coverts, and epaulets (4 finger feathers) all should be colored. No mismarking or white feathers allowed mixed in with coloring unless specified in color class. Saddle on wings to be as close to perfect as possible. Any bird that is over or under in colored secondaries is to be penalized 2 pts. for each feather that is not the color it should be.
COLOR AND MARKINGS (20 pts.):
Some coloring down the hocks is allowed, but to be as clean as possible. No colored feathers allowed on any other part of body except for what is described in saddle description. Markings and color to be defined as standard color classes only, all others to be considered rare or AOC except at such a time when enough competition renders making a new color class.
MAJOR FAULTS: (Deduct 5 pts. for each condition).
