State Fair (10/16/97 - 11/02/97)
The Arizona State Fair will take place in October.
The deadline for registering birds is October 6th. Those of you who plan to show your
birds at the fair need to get your entries in soon! Pigeons will be on exhibit from
Oct 28th - Nov 2nd. Exhibitors may start cooping their birds at 5PM on Oct 28th. All
birds must be cooped before 9PM on Oct 28th. All who register and show 7 or
more birds, at $2 each, will receive 5 free passes to the fair. Be there!

Young Bird Show (10/12/97)
At Kashasa's Detroit Deli at 2102 W. Deer Valley Road. Free food for members or
if you want you can donate the money to the club last time $30 was donated to the club.
Great place for our meetings! Only 10 people showed up last meeting. Let's see if we
can have a better turn-out.

Swap-n-Sell (11/16/97)
At Bob Karns house. Note that this will be the 3rd Sunday in November. Our meetings
are generally on the 2nd Sunday, but because of scheduling conflicts, we changed it
this year to November 16th. Will post directions as soon as I get them.

Annual Pigeon Show (12/05/97 - 12/07/97)
Our 56th Phoenix Pigeon Show, sponsored by the Arizona Pigeon Club, will be at
the Arizona State Fair Grounds again this year. It is located at the intersection
of McDowell and 19th Avenue.
We are privileged to host the 6th District Meet of the National Modena Club at the same
time. Be sure to check out the Modena Standard in
preparation for this event. There ought to be a good turn-out.
December 5 - Set up.
December 6 - Judging.
December 7 - Tear down.

Grand National Pigeon Show (01/08/98 - 01/10/98)
This is the "Grand Daddy of them all". If your birds did well for you in other shows,
this will be the place to be. Start preparing now for what will certainly be a great
time, and may well show just how good your birds really are!
January 8 - Set up.
January 9 - Judging.
January 10 - Tear down.
